About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager, you will have the opportunity to own a product or multiple product features within a complex product.
You will be responsible for leading product domain strategy and program execution, ensuring the successful delivery and enhancement of our product offerings. We seek a candidate who will leverage market research and proactively engage with industry segments, new customer groups and internal colleagues to implement findings into the product development. They will be able to take this back into the Reaxys team and know how to create and deliver products efficiently, and profitably. Specifically, the Product Manager will be responsible for
Driving content expansion product strategy forward and expanding vision, including formulation and validation of roadmap requirements and feature delivery by gathering and analysing data.
Own and drive the success of a product or multiple product features within a complex product, taking complete ownership of its roadmap, strategy, and execution.
Partner and collaborate closely with Reaxys Technology, other Elsevier functions, external suppliers and any other function within the delivery team to prioritize new features and enhancements
Work with other Reaxys product managers in a matrix way to define, implement and advocate shared product management processes, methods, and tools.
Represent the product domain(s) to peers, managers, executives across the company, and external audiences, acting as a central point for customer understanding.
Proactively gather customer feedback and insights to continuously improve the product, ensuring it remains competitive in the market.
Actively mentor and provide guidance to cross-functional team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Requirements:
Significant product management experience (5+ years), ideally within a technology-driven organization in the area of life sciences.
A proven track record of success with product strategy, road map development, product rollouts/Go-to-market strategies.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
Strong customer focus and understanding of customer needs and market trends.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Experience on working with pharmaceutical and chemical companies as well as academia
Master degree in chemistry or related sciences
Good to have:
Product management certification (Agile, Scrum, SVPG)
Experience in working in pharmaceutical companies in the field of drug discovery and development
Experience in working in the chemical industry in the field of materials development
Experience of continuous development lifecycle – ability to define functional and non-functional requirements
PhD in Chemistry
