Location: Portsmouth

Hours: 39 hours a week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Temporary to permanent

Salary: £17.82 an hour

Acorn by Synergie is currently seeking an experienced Assembly Technician, required by their client, a leading global manufacturing and engineering company. The Assembly Technician will assemble and test single use hardware, such as bioreactors, mixers and filtration chassis. Also required to support customer-facing FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) by talking customers through the tests.

This role offers full-time work on a temporary to permanent basis, working day shifts.

What are we looking for?

Competent in the mechanical and electrical assembly and testing of highly complex, automated equipment.
Competent in the manufacturing of wire looms, running cables and wire termination, including the use of soldering.
Competent in electrical testing, such as PAT testing and live testing.
Reading wire diagrams and schematics.
Reading mechanical assembly drawings.
Good documentation practice.
Attention to detail.
Interpersonal skills, working in a customer-facing environment.

Main responsibilities:

Assemble and test single use hardware in accordance with product quality standards, adhering to production schedules.
Support customer-facing FATs.
Report and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, making controlled repairs/modifications where applicable.
Provide feedback on build and potential design issues.
Cover pack assist, as required.
Learn the skills and competencies as required to meet business needs.
