Role and FacilityInformation Position: Radiation Oncologist Location: BC Cancer –Surrey Centre, Surrey, BC Type: Permanent Full Time (multiplepositions, 1.0 FTE each) BC Cancer - Surrey is a full-serviceacademic cancer center in the western Fraser Valley. We are seekingpermanent radiation oncologists to join our team of 17 RadiationOncologists, 3 part-time General Practitioners in Oncology, and afull-time nurse practitioner, working within the provincialRadiation Therapy program. Surrey is approximately 30 km southeastof Vancouver, a rapidly growing, diverse community with families,universities, and a vibrant urban scene. Our department features 5linear accelerators and an orthovoltage unit. We treat all tumortypes and offer comprehensive Stereotactic services, including SRS,thoracic, liver/abdomen, spine, and GU stereotactic treatments.SABR for primary cancers and oligometastatic disease is available.Prostate and Gynecologic brachytherapy are planned on-site anddelivered at the Abbotsford centre. The department has an activeacademic program. The successful candidate will provide excellentpatient care, participate in teaching medical students andresidents, and engage in clinical research. Opportunities includemultidisciplinary clinical trials, collaborations with SurreyMemorial Hospital, UBC, SFU, and provincial projects. We have morethan 2 positions available, with negotiable disease site coverage.We seek collegial individuals who work well with our team. Thesuccessful applicant will be recommended for a clinical appointmentat UBC and will have privileges through the Provincial HealthServices Authority and Surrey Memorial Hospital.
