Location: Central London
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 (DOE)
Hours: Flexible 40 hour week. Hybrid role – 3 days onsite. 1 week out of 4 is international travel across Europe or Saudi Arabia.

About the Company:
We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Senior EHS Advisor to join a thriving pharmaceutical manufacturing company experiencing sustained growth and ambitious expansion plans.

Role Overview:
The purpose of this role is to support and maintain a safe, compliant, and effective working environment in line with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) legislation.

This position requires solid knowledge across multiple EHS disciplines, including:
• Environmental and safety permitting
• Chemical safety
• Biosafety and radiation safety
• Laboratory and fire safety
• Ergonomics and facilities safety
• Sustainability initiatives
• Auditing and inspections

What You’ll Do:

• Manage and maintain EHS programs, records, and regulatory licenses.
• Develop and review site policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and support incident investigations.
• Deliver EHS training, inductions, and promote safety awareness.
• Lead and support EHS projects, including global and sustainability initiatives.
• Monitor EHS KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Advise on EHS legislation and ensure compliance across operations.
• Actively participate in safety committees and emergency response teams.

What We’re Looking For:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or Life Science related discipline
• Environmental, Health or Safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH certificate, IOSH, ASP
• degree or diploma in microbiology / chemistry or a related subject.
• At least 4 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical industry GMP laboratory.
• Level 6 diploma in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety.
• At least 3 years’ technical experience in EHS and a proven track record of developing EHS compliance programs, with exposure to chemical and/or biological agents in the Pharmaceutical industry or related industry.
• Technical knowledge of OEL’s and product containment
• Clear understanding of the needs of cGMP
• Experience in conducting EHS audits
