Who we are:

Zedsen is a health technology startup focused on next generation cancer screening. Our novel, non-invasive sensor technology enables us to screen for cancerous lesions at depth without exposing the

surrounding tissue to radiation. This will enable us to introduce safer, accessible, and cost-effective alternatives to traditional screening methods.

Our primary mission is to reinvent the breast cancer detection pathway, by providing safe, affordable and accessible breast cancer screening solutions; ultimately improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs. By developing scalable, affordable technology that can be widely implemented, we aim to bring effective cancer screening

to low-resourced markets and make a massive impact on the future of cancer screening and treatment worldwide.

This role will oversee the internal design changes and testing of our hardware systems, leading a small team of hardware, electronics, and testing engineers. This role will also be intimately involved in the development and execution of our regulatory strategy and our overall product development.

Our detection approach requires tight synchrony between system hardware design, signal processing, and algorithmic development. This role will work in close collaboration with our algorithm development

team to understand how future hardware modifications might complement algorithmic design and thus improve system performance.

This role will require developing a deep understanding of Zedsen’s technology and existing hardware and firmware stack. It will require a capacity to rapidly onboard and execute the existing short-term plans for Zedsen’s hardware development while taking ownership of our longer-term development vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of existing electronics and hardware team members and the overall team projects and deliverables.

• Ownership of our internal testing procedures and strategy, managing internal hardware testing procedures and outputs.

• Proposing future development strategies for hardware and electronics.

• Close interaction with our external contract manufacturers to ensure our specifications and requirements are well formulated and that their outputs meet required specs

• Planning of our development timelines and management of the resultant projects and deliverables.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience designing and assembling systems which use electromagnetic sensing (e.g.

impedance/capacitance sensing, ECG/EEG systems, etc.)

• Experience with FPGA code development

• Experience with VHDL

• Experience developing medical devices

• Experience using Altium schematic captures and layout

• High-quality documentation skills
