Pay Rate: £19.81/hr (inside IR35)

Are you ready to take your microbiology career to the next level with an exciting role in the FMCG industry? What You Will Do:

• Routine testing for Routine Analysis (Endotoxins, Bioburdens, Total Viable Count, Environmental Monitoring)
• Perform lab admin and housekeeping activities, basic routine analysis and work in accordance with the quality standards within Pharmaceutical Microbiology laboratory.
• Provide high-quality customer service by ensuring effective organisation of workload, integrity of analytical data, and timely provision of results.
• Perform a range of basic routine analyses under the supervision of a senior staff member.
• Operate basic laboratory equipment as directed.
• Use generic and specific software packages required for the role, including the Laboratory’s LIMS system and Q-Pulse.
• Offer training in routine activities to new team members.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment in compliance with the highest standards of safety and quality.

What You Will Bring:

• A background in microbiology, ideally supported by a relevant degree.

• A meticulous attention to detail and the ability to follow written instructions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a quick learning ability.
• Organisational skills, with the capability to work on multiple activities concurrently.
• Computer literacy in standard MS Office applications and a scientific understanding of basic lab equipment.

The position will be primarily based in Wokingham, with a working pattern of Thursday to Monday, with expectation to work Bank Holidays including Christmas and New Year.
