Exciting Consultant Microbiologist Opportunity

We're thrilled to be supporting a fantasticNHS Pathology Servicein their search for a dedicatedConsultant Microbiologist. This is a unique chance to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

As the selected agency, we're excited to help connect passionate professionals with this dynamic role. You'll be joining a team of four Consultant Microbiologists and three Infectious Disease Consultants, working together to provide comprehensive clinical Microbiology and Infectious Disease services across the Trusts served by the Pathology Service.

This role, based at the Trust's main site, is offered on a full-time basis (up to 11.5 PA). However, we encourage individuals seeking a more flexible working pattern to apply, as the Trust is open to discussions to support a positive work-life balance.


What you'll be doing:

You'll be an integral part of a well-organised clinical microbiology team, actively participating in ward rounds and multi-disciplinary team meetings. Both Trusts boast robust Infection Prevention and Antimicrobial Stewardship teams, with microbiologists and ID physicians playing key roles. The clinical microbiology service is supported by a modern, well-equipped automated laboratory and a highly skilled technical team.


What you'll need:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must be registered with theGeneral Medical Council in the United Kingdomand appear on theSpecialist Register to practice in Microbiology.
