We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Hygiene Manager to lead our hygiene operations and ensure our pies, quiches and rolls are made in a compliant, safe and sparkling clean bakery! This is a key role at the heart of our food production, ideal for someone who combines strong leadership and hygiene knowledge with a hands-on approach and commitment to excellence.

What will you be DOING ? Developing the team to deliver satisfactory completion and sign-off of all cleaning processes Develop, monitor and review KPI data, reporting the results to the client and addressing any shortfalls to ensure that satisfaction is achieved Prepare, review and update service documentation including risk assessments, method statements and training evidence Take an active role in customer visits and audits including the presentation and explanation of necessary due diligence information Monitor and challenge efficiency, service levels and labour utilisation in order to maximise operational effectiveness Supervision of all members of the hygiene team ensuring that all people issues (suitable labour coverage, holiday planning, sickness monitoring, etc.) are dealt with in an effective and timely manner, with support from the People Team.

Responsible for conducting regular site hygiene and fabrication inspections at pre-defined frequencies, triggering appropriate corrective action where necessary including interfacing with engineering personnel as part of the site’s Preventive Maintenance Plan.

Maintenance of all paperwork associated with the above responsibilities ensuring compliance with legal and auditing standards at all times.

What SKILLS & KNOWELDGE do you need? Hygiene experience gained from working in an FMCG manufacturing environment Microbiology for Non-Microbiologists understanding or training Team building and management An excellent standard of both verbal and written English Proficient with using Microsoft office packages Level 4 Food Processing Hygiene Management (desirable) Level 4 Listeria Management (desirable) Level 3 Food Safety qualification (desirable) Level 2 HACCP qualification (desirable) What will HIGGIDY do for you?
