Position: Mechanical Technician
Salary: £35,000 - depending on experience
Location: Essex
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00am - 16:00 - Early finish Friday

Proactive are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Technician to begin work for a leading manufacturing and engineering company based in Essex. This is a permanent position and an exciting role working for a market leader within the automated machinery and pharmaceutical industry offering ample opportunity for progression and development.

As a Mechanical Technician the duties can be quite varied, you will be required to assist in the machining, manufacturing and assembly of company enclosures, equipment and machinery. You will need to have keen attention to detail and careful handling of materials.

Some Responsibilities Include:

Preparing production materials, machining and lock assembly.
Assembly of frame/enclosures and fitting to machinery lines.
Dis-assembly of tested lines and preparation of items ready for transport and assembly at customers sites
Some basic pneumatic assembly
Assembly, support and commissioning work at some customer sites.
There may be a small amount of travel to support installation to our worldwide customer base.Skills/Attributes:

Basic engineering skills including mechanical assembly and machine operation.
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings.
Ability to work in a team with attention to detail.
Good knowledge of health and safety protocols.
Ideally hold an Engineering certification/apprenticeship - Desirable.
