Maintenance Technician / Engineer

Supporting the continued expansion of this advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing business we are now seeking the appointment of a brand new Maintenance Technician / Engineer.

With multiple sites across the UK, this specific facility has experienced an exceptional period of growth and positive transformation. As part of this, they are now expanding the engineering team in order to continue to support the increasing demands from production and the wider facility.

In this position you will need to be versatile. Whilst working on advanced pharmaceutical equipment, you will also take responsibility for all areas of manufacturing, laboratory and facility maintenance. Working alongside a team of three in a small manufacturing site, you will need to be comfortable across mechanical and electrical systems and, even more importantly, be comfortable taking on the challenging demands as well as the basic ones.

The position will be Monday-Friday 40hr week but there will be an on call rota (including nights) that is being developed, therefore flexibility is essential.

Given the site location and the timing of flexibility, living within one hour is required, as is access to your own transport.

Experience required:

  • Experienced in working within a regulated manufacturing setting, taking responsibility for a variety of engineering duties

  • Comfortable with both electrical and mechanical systems

  • Fault-finding and problem solving focus – with a hands-on approach (no job too big or too small)

  • Experience of pneumatic systems is a benefit

  • Previous experience with a pharmaceutical setting is an advantage
