Job Overview: IQVIA, a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions, and contract research services to the life sciences industry, is seeking a Head of Patient Centered Delivery (based in the UK or EU) to join our innovative team. This role will be pivotal in overseeing our decentralized clinical trial solutions, driving strategic plans and having accountability for operational oversight and delivery, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals. The successful candidate will work closely with a variety of internal and external teams. These will include Clinical Technology and Connected Devices teams to define the overall product and services roadmap, leveraging deep therapeutic expertise and IQVIA solutions to drive operational excellence and strategic leadership with our customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Accountable for defining and executing the Decentralized Clinical Trial (DCT) strategic roadmap.
  • Full P&L responsibility with responsibility for driving revenue growth and cost management.
  • Act as key member to the Patient and Site Centric Services (PSCS) Leadership team.
  • Provide consultation to clients on the decentralized trial strategy and plans as needed.
  • Represent DCT strategy on key client operational committee and executive forums.
  • Manage team in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations, including planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, and guiding professional development.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are completed as per the contract, achieving quality deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Provide effective and timely consultation/guidance to employees on issue resolution.
  • Coach and mentor employees around project planning, project review, risk management, and problem-solving.
  • Identify skill and competency gaps at the individual level and craft development plans to close the gaps.
  • Actively engage with the review of performance dashboards and ensure system and metrics compliance.
  • Proactively manage risks linked to resourcing, project, and/or individual needs.
  • Lead and/or actively participate in corporate initiatives.
  • Act as a senior liaison with other groups within IQVIA.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or related field required.
  • Broad management knowledge to lead cross-regional teams and influence others regarding policies, procedures, and goals.
  • 15 years of clinical research experience, including 9 years of leadership experience with a multi-regional and global focus, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical trials and applicable clinical research regulatory requirements (GCP and ICH guidelines).
  • Proven ability to manage a team and work through others in a global environment to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics.
  • Effective mentoring and training skills, fostering learning and knowledge sharing with colleagues.
  • Ability to work across geographies, displaying high awareness and understanding of cultural differences.
  • Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and negotiate solutions.
  • Strong ability to balance operational and strategic priorities.
  • Knowledge of financial tracking and accounting methods.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated learning agility and openness to learning.
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
