The new Head of Finance will play a crucial role in supporting this mission by providing financial insights and guidance to drive business decisions.Your new role 
The Head of Finance Europe leads the European Finance Team, driving business planning and financial reporting. This role provides strategic objectives, ensuring compliance with internal and external financial obligations. It involves close collaboration with commercial counterparts to proactively challenge forecasts and maximise business opportunities.Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with functional leads to manage the European budget and resources, and monitor financial performance to maximise profitability.
  • Ensure timely completion of statutory reporting, including audits, taxation, and financial statements, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee audits, analyse outcomes, and implement solutions for internal control.
  • Maintain and develop finance systems for process optimisation, and monitor working capital to maximise cash returns.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to leverage insights and challenge forecasts.
  • Develop innovative finance solutions and maximise existing systems.
  • Team management

What you'll need to succeed 

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA 
  • Pharma or similar industry experience with strong knowledge of Financial and Management reporting
  • Financial planning and budget management 
  • Confidence to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and across all functions
  • An articulate and confident communicator 
  • Managed teams across UK and European businesses - teams of 5+
