Business Development Director – Medical Education

About the Company:

In this pivotal role, you will drive business growth by identifying new partnership opportunities, strengthening existing relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to create impactful medical education proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company at UK based and international events to build and nurture new client relationships
  • Conduct proactive outreach via calls and face-to-face presentations to both new and existing clients
  • Develop and deepen relationships within your network to drive ongoing growth
  • Work closely with internal teams to craft compelling grant proposals and pitches for medical education funding
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, supporter news, and industry developments through research and conference attendance
  • Support sales activities, including lead generation and competitive analysis, alongside management

Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience in business development within pharma or medical education
  • Proven success in securing significant funding from medical education teams
  • Strong track record of expanding existing accounts and uncovering new business opportunities
  • Knowledge of digital IME/CME programming and ACCME guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and willingness to travel
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
