Business Development Director to join our team. As Business Development Director

you will be a key part of the AMC’s business development efforts. Reporting to the Global Chief Growth Officer at Inizio Medical, you will identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective clients while contributing to business strategies and organizational goals. You will support AMC to increase the new business pipeline and be driven by business growth and expansion into new therapy areas and clients. You will keep a pulse on industry shifts and the competitive landscape by attending key industry conferences and events.
Key responsibilities include:
Identify opportunities and prospective clients through networking, personal contacts, industry meetings, scientific meetings and sales calls.
Develop new, original and innovative business ideas to meet clients’ needs, as well as to support AMC’s strategic growth plans.
Work closely with the existing AMC Growth Team members to identify therapy area expertise and new business gaps within the agency and support the expansion of service offerings
Conduct / commission market analysis to identify new business opportunities.
Cultivate relationships with key industry contacts and client decision makers to facilitate winning new clients and accounts.
Contribute to the agency’s new business pipeline management system (Hubspot) and meet KPIs on lead generation, quantification, and prioritisation.
Represent AMC at industry and scientific meetings.
Collaborate with Growth Team across Inizio Medical and Inizio as necessary to seek out opportunities and grow business.

Who is the ideal candidate?
You will be a highly motivated, results-driven individual with extensive Healthcare Communications experience in an agency setting. You will have established industry relationships with a proven track record of success in developing, leading and winning new business within a Medical Communications environment (including medical affairs, publications and commercial medcomms).You will have a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotech industries and be motivated by a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt quickly to change.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Extensive experience in a medical communications agency or pharmaceutical environment.
Extensive solutions/consultative selling and business development experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Deep industry knowledge and awareness of business and clients.
Passion for science and solid track record of providing exceptional solutions to meet client needs.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and CRMs.
Strong interpersonal, relationship building skills and ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels.
Resourceful, creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Clear and effective decision making and influencing abilities, coupled with demonstrable influencing leadership skills.
Strong team player with proven successful track record of working collaboratively in virtual/cross-functional/divisional teams.
Exceptional project management and organisational skills, able to effectively balance competing priorities
