Territory Sales Specialist (Life Science) – Connacht/ Leinster


Our client, established in 1958, is a premier provider of high-quality laboratory equipment with warehouse locations in Belfast and Dublin. With over six decades of experience, they have built a strong global network of suppliers to source top products. They offer a comprehensive range of equipment and services, recognized as a leading one-stop solution for laboratory needs in Ireland.


This is a full-time, on the road, sales position covering Connacht & Leinster. The ideal person shall have a degree in Chemistry/Biology with work experience gained in a lab and a full drivers licence.


The person will be ideally based in the Northern Ireland/ Cavan/ Monaghan/ Louth area.


Role/Responsibilities:

  • Promote and increase revenue of General Laboratory/Biotechnology portfolio within the Connacht & Leinster regions.
  • Provide demonstrations, pricing and promotions of product portfolio, and will have an In-depth product knowledge of the instrumentation; HPLC, Bio-safety cabinets, air flow cabinets, microscopy, Hypoxy cabinets etc.
  • Provide customers with technical & software support.
  • Develop and maintain new and existing customer relationships.
  • Work closely with the Sales Director and the overall sales team.
  • The Sales Product Specialist will be required to travel extensively across Connacht & Leinster.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biochemistry, or equivalent.
  • Sales experience preferable.
  • In depth knowledge of Biotechnology & General Laboratory instrumentation with minimum of 2 years laboratory experience.
  • Be a flexible team player who can work independently and prioritise workload.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A good knowledge of related industry products.
  • Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Highly motivated individual with a drive to succeed
  • Full clean Irish driving licence is essential.
