Experienced Oilfield Chemicals Sales Manager looking to further develop their career required for a growing, well-established chemical distributor in Cheshire.

Title: Sales Manager - Oilfield Chemicals

Location: Hybrid, 1 day a week in Cheshire office

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + benefits

Term: Permanent

SRG is partnering with a leading chemical supplier and distributor in Cheshire, who offer a wide range of innovative raw materials to manufacturers and brands in the UK industrial chemicals market (encompassing oilfield, HI&I, lubricants and water treatment amongst others). With world-class R&D and manufacturing facilities in Europe and globally, they have a well-known reputation for success in the market. Adopting a value-based sales approach, you will travel extensively across the North of England & Scotland, regularly meeting customers to continually build, develop and grow customer relationships across oilfield chemical manufacturers.

The role will be largely business development, focusing on the oilfield industry in the North of Scotland.

Benefits:Company car (for personal and business use), 10-15% bonus (purely based on individual performance) + impressive training budget for external training courses.

Role / Description

  • Identifying, contacting and developing new business using a variety of methods
  • Promoting the company's range of innovative raw materials
  • Growing market presence across the North England & Scotland oilfield chemicals markets
  • Growing existing customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and ultimately look to increase account spend
  • Travelling approximately 1/3 of your time across the UK to visit customer sites
  • Generating leads to identify new potential UK industrial chemical customers
  • Maintaining and updating the database to build a global customer pool
  • Keeping abreast of product development & trends in the chemicals industry


Requirements

  • Direct experience in consultative and technical sales of chemical raw materials to the oilfield industry
  • Degree-level qualified (or equivalent) in Chemistry or a closely related subject
  • Experience with delivering technical presentations on chemical raw materials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing, and excited, to travel 1/3 of your time largely in Scotland
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • A proactive approach and drive to deliver exceptional customer service
