Our client is the market leading distributor of manufacturing equipment to blue chip companies in the pharmaceutical, medical devices and electronics sectors.
With over 40 years of trading, they have built a solid reputation for supplying the best, gold standard capital equipment across the manufacturing industries they serve in the UK and Ireland. They are known for first-class technical engineering expertise, customer-centric solutions, and project management to support delivery, installation, and service of equipment throughout the sales process.
They are a premier distributor of pharmaceutical production equipment, serving clients like GSK and Astra Zeneca, with excellent repeat business in the UK & Ireland, and you could be proud to join them.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Sales Director role has been created to grow and manage sales of manufacturing equipment to the Life Science Sector across the UK & Ireland. The company supplies capital equipment for pharmaceutical manufacturing, including packaging inspection, automation, sterilization, and packaging equipment.
Aims & Objectives:
Grow the Life Sciences Business Unit Equipment Sales in the UK & Ireland
Review and add suppliers to the Life Sciences product range
Build "The Life Science Brand" in key accounts, especially Tier 1 & Tier 2 pharmaceutical manufacturing accounts
Liaise with customers and update on order status and projects
Manage one Irish Life Sciences Salesperson and Irish Equipment Suppliers
Increase sales through direct interaction with major pharmaceutical manufacturing sites in the UK and Ireland
Develop, present, and execute a sales plan and strategy for the next 3-5 years, including milestones and KPIs
Person Specification:
The following are essential:
Proven experience as a Senior Sales Professional in B2B, capital equipment sales into the regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
Existing network of key decision-makers in pharmaceutical manufacturing companies like Astra Zeneca, GSK, etc.
Willingness to travel extensively across the UK & Ireland
Full UK driving license and valid passport, able to work in the UK without sponsorship
A highly motivated Scientific Sales Leader with a professional, customer-focused approach, strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proven track record of growing multi-million-pound equipment sales for a distributor or manufacturer
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
