Job Description


Planet Pharma are working with a global pharmaceutical company focused on research, development, manufacturing, and marketing of prescription medicines. Their primary areas of expertise include neurology and oncology, addressing diseases such as Alzheimer's and various types of cancer.


ObjectiveProvide operational and project engineering support to maintain reliable and compliant operation of manufacturing and packaging equipment within the EKC facility at Hatfield. Ensure that operations within your area of responsibility adhere to the requirements of GMP guidelines and industry standards.


General Responsibilities(Safety, Quality, Customer, Cost, and Innovation)

Operations must be conducted in line with corporate standards, GMP and GDP guidelines, and industry regulations to ensure:

  • A safe working environment for all employees, with thorough reporting of near-miss incidents and accidents.
  • High-quality products are manufactured and released through strict adherence to procedures.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives are implemented to identify and progress opportunities for operational enhancements and cost reductions.
  • Stakeholder and customer expectations are clearly understood and effectively met through communication.
  • Individual performance aligns with established objectives and demonstrates appropriate behaviors and competencies.


Working RelationshipsCollaborate with internal teams such as:

  • Production Engineering, Utilities Engineering, and Facilities Management Engineering
  • Production Operations
  • Project Sponsors, Stakeholders, and Teams
  • Quality Operations, Quality Control, and Quality Systems
  • Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS)
  • Technical
  • Manufacturing Business Systems


Requirements:

  • Experience from life science or GMP experience. (Outside of that, you can come from manufacturing or packaging)
  • Education: Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., chemical, electrical, mechanical engineering).
  • Looking for someone who is able to think critically, can adapt to changing requirements and be agile. Everyday is different so looking for someone versatile, not a role for individuals who want a set list of tasks and do same thing daily.
