Contract Process Engineer

Waste Water and Water Treatment

Contract Pay Outside IR35

£30 - £45 per hour

Are you a seasoned Process Engineer within the wastewater and water treatment space? If so, this opportunity might be perfect for you! Do you have experience of designing, optimising, and troubleshooting treatment systems to ensure water is cleaned to environmental standards? Come and join Henderson Brown Contract Division.

Responsibilities Contract Process Engineer

System Design & Modelling - Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), plant layouts, and hydraulic models for new or upgraded wastewater treatment plants.
Optimisation & Troubleshooting - Analyse underperforming plants, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions to improve effluent quality, reduce energy consumption, and manage chemical usage.
Technology Selection: Evaluate and implement advanced treatment technologies (e.g., membrane bioreactors, sludge management).
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all processes meet strict environmental regulations and safety standards before discharging treated water.
Collaboration & Project Management: Work with civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers to manage infrastructure projects, from conceptual design to construction and commissioning.

Requirements Contract Process Engineer

Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering (Process or Chemical).
At least 3 years' experience in the applicable Engineering dept.
Knowledge of process related standards; Experience in process simulations and calculation.
Working knowledge of process engineering software packages. AutoCad skills.
Familiarity with EHS regulations.
Analytical thinker with strong interpersonal attitude.
