Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer / Proposals Engineer / Solutions Engineer

Salary: £40 – 60k + 25 days holiday + pension

Hours: Monday to Friday daytime (lunchtime Friday finish)

Location: Bolton

The Person:

• Mechanical Engineering qualification – Degree level ideally
  
  
• A technical role working closely with clients (usually engineer to engineer discussions) to create solutions to client site / process plant issues.
  
  
• Experience of working with and understanding of technical drawings, 2D / engineering drawings.
  
  
• Analytical and able to work out calculations relating to design, flow and power as well as materials considerations.
  
  
• Good comminution and interpersonal skills.
  
  
• Various backgrounds but understanding or experience with special purpose machinery for manufacturing process sector (eg food, pharmaceutical, energy, biomass, chemicals or similar) would be beneficial but not essential.
  
  
• This role may suit a Sales Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Internal Sales Engineer, Inbound Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, Estimating Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer, Design Engineer, Graduate Engineer.
  
  The Job:
  
  
• Evaluate inbound customer enquiries into machinery and equipment sales / solutions.
  
  
• Liaise with customer to discuss problem, requirement, application, solution.
  
  
• Calculate sizes and specifications and prepare quotations.
  
  
• Liaise with design and workshop to help plan and organise jobs / projects.
  
  
• Mainly office based with 1 or 2 customer visits / meetings per month.
