NES Fircroft is collaborating with an independent, family-owned company based in West Bromwich, West Midlands, that manufactures organic chemicals for various industries, including Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical, Rubber, Polymer, Food & Beverage, and allied sectors. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to join an existing Engineering Department to work on a lower tier COMAH facility.
 
Responsibilities:

Manage Mechanical Engineering & Civil Engineering departments which consists of a mix of staff and contractors
Mechanical Maintenance department management
Project engineering management
Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
Maintain and promote a safe operating culture within the department ensuring that in all its aspects of installation and maintenance it operates to the highest levels of safety and meets all legal and statutory requirements, company rules and procedures
Liaise with outside contacts including suppliers, contractors and agencies such as the HSE & insurance inspectors 
Experience & Qualifications:

Candidates will hold a HNC in Mechanical Engineering as a minimum
Ideally hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, however this is not essential
Hold a minimum of 10 years’ experience within an industrial manufacturing environment in a Mechanical Engineering role
Hold at least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role
Flexible attitude to be able to deal with multiple complex jobs simultaneously, meeting the required changes in operational priorities.
