Role: Maintenance Technician

Location: Worcester

Duration: 12 months

Pay Rate: £23-£28 P/hr Umbrella

Our Client: A world leader in the industrial application of laser additive layer manufacturing of metals, with a current fleet of 24 AM machines. They are committed to delivering high-quality solutions to their clients and are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 7.00am till 3.00pm

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and building systems. This role is critical in minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety and efficiency of our clients operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out timely repairs.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Collaborate with production and operations teams to minimize disruption.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Monitor inventory of spare parts and tools, and coordinate procurement as needed.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.Requirements:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Relevant technical qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent in Engineering or related field).Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceuticals].
Certification in health and safety (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) Advantageous
PLC troubleshooting and programming knowledge.
