We are looking for a Lead IT Engineer who will support Laboratory Instrument Systems at our new Regeneron Cell Medicines (RCM) unit, located in the heart of Cambridge, MA. RCM is dedicated to novel cell therapies, translating science to medicine for our patients. In your role, you will work with scientists as a lead IT partner, providing technical support on Laboratory instrument control systems and applications. You will partner with R&D personnel to design and implement efficient data integration and data management strategies. As an IT partner in the drug discovery process you will deliver value by implementing efficient, secure, and time-savings technical solutions that help to streamline labratory workflows. Within Regeneron Research & Preclinical Development IT, you will have the support of a large team resourced with broad software platforms and experienced in scientific data solutions.
As a Lead Laboratory IT Systems Engineer, a typical day might include the following:
Collaborating with laboratory personnel to manage the requirements, design, build, and implementation of Laboratory Solutions and Equipment
Managing and partnering with vendors, all areas of IT, and Lab Personnel to coordinate activities enabling the integration of third party applications and services into the lab environment
Third level support for applications used in the lab environment
Working with scientists to understand their data capture, analysis, and reporting requirements
Developing, configuring, and supporting various IT systems
Proactively collaborating on IT project teams with scientists, business analysts, and programmers to help deliver technical solutions
Providing technical knowledge and support to the design, testing, and debugging of end user applicationsMaintaining functionality of various systems to meet business, functional, and technical requirements
Collaborating with vendors to address technical issues on existing software, and defining new enhancements based on user requirements

Expertise on the design, build, and implementation of Laboratory Solutions and Equipment.
Strong problem solving skills
Experience managing vendor activities enabling the support of third party applications and services into the lab environment
Hands-on experience with Laboratory Solutions and equipment used by R&D teams in biopharma
Experience working with R&D scientists to develop business requirements and technical solutions
Prioritized and delivered multiple initiatives in an agile environment
Developed tactical and operational plans to transition to new technologies to support business processes
Excellent customer service skills – working with customers and vendors.
In order to be considered for this position, you must have a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Bioinformatics, or similar field as well as at least 3 years of experience in designing, building, and implementing IT solutions for laboratory equipment. Fundamental knowledge of the life sciences/biopharma space, with previous laboratory experience preferred. AWS core services skills, a plus. Must be onsite at least 3 days a week subject to management review, non-negotiable.
