Now Hiring: Head of Packaging – Global Device and Packaging Unit (France)

A leading global healthcare manufacturer is seeking a forward-thinkingHead of Packagingto shape and lead its global packaging strategy across devices and pharmaceutical products.

This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to define the packaging vision, drive sustainability initiatives, and embed a patient-centric culture across all levels of packaging—from design to delivery.


Role Overview:

As Head of Packaging, you will be responsible for building and executing a comprehensive, long-term strategy that integrates innovation, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence across primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Commercial, and more to drive impact at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a 4–15 year strategic roadmap for global packaging
  • Establish governance frameworks and best practices for end-to-end packaging processes
  • Drive innovation through material and design scouting, with a focus on patient experience and sustainability
  • Build and lead a high-performing packaging team
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Create a culture that embeds packaging as a strategic, value-creating function

Ideal Profile:

  • Master’s or PhD in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
  • 15+ years in senior packaging leadership roles within Pharma, FMCG, or similar regulated industries
  • Demonstrated success leading international programs and influencing at a senior level
  • Strong business acumen, change leadership, and strategic thinking
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus
