TeamConsulting is offering an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Contracts Manager to join our commercial team. Our Commercial team is headed up by our Commercial Director, and this role will report to the Head of Contracts.
The Contracts team, whilst small, plays a vital role within the Commercial department and wider business, using their knowledge and experience to successfully conclude contracts with our extensive portfolio of clients and suppliers. Their early involvement with clients is key to establishing strong contractual relationships. They consistently deliver a high level of service, ensuring contractual rigour, professionalism, and pride in their work.
The team has an exciting breadth of clients, ranging from start-ups to some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical and Med-Tech companies. For each client, we negotiate and comply with bespoke framework agreements for the supply of services.
The variation of clients and suppliers evolves as the team develops into new sectors, offering opportunities for new learning and challenges. You will work closely with colleagues across the business and, where required, with external legal counsel.
In this varied role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Leading and supporting new contracts and negotiations, which range in complexity and challenge, including:
Master Service Agreements (overarching contractual clauses)
Task Order/Statement of Work (detailing the services to be performed)
Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Agreements (CDAs/NDAs)
Associate Framework Agreements
Intellectual Property Agreements
Providing legal support, training, and awareness to the Commercial department and the business. Maintaining contracts with existing clients and suppliers by being the point of contact.
We welcome applications from candidates seeking full-time (37 hours per week) or part-time (minimum of 30 hours per week) work. The position offers flexible hybrid work arrangements, with at least 60% of time in the office. Team supplies IT equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for remote work.

Qualifications & Skills
Degree qualification or equivalent
Experience in negotiating and managing contracts in a service organization
Sound understanding of contract law
Good understanding of GDPR principles
Comprehensive understanding of commercial risk
Strong organizational skills for managing documentation and coordinating efforts
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
Previous in-house experience
Experience managing contracts in a technology consulting organization
Experience in a business developing products
Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
Knowledge of IR35 legislation
Personal Qualities
Builds trusting, effective, and lasting relationships with colleagues at all levels
Ability to influence decisions within the company and with external contracting parties
Resourceful and responsible for own tasks
Attention to detail
Calm under pressure
