Job Description:


As aCommissioning Manageryou play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of commissioning activities within the construction project, from planning and execution to quality assurance and client satisfaction. Your technical expertise, and strategic vision are essential for delivering high-quality outcomes that meet project objectives and exceed client expectations.


You will providestrategic and tactical building services commissioning management supportto the project team for the engineering process of a project from conception to completion. Our focus is on teamwork our philosophy is to be part of the solution, not the problem. We focus on quality in all aspects of commissioning management – planning, programming, reporting, collaborative working, witnessing and handing over to the FM teams.



  • Strategic Planning:

Support the lead commissioning manager in developing comprehensive strategic commissioning playbook and schedules for commissioning activities, tailored to each project’s unique specifications, timelines, and objectives. You work closely with project stakeholders to understand requirements to develop and manage a roadmap for commissioning execution.


  • Team Leadership and Management:

Manage the commissioning activities of the project in accordance with the lead commissioning manager. You support in providing guidance, mentorship, and coordinate all the different stakeholders to ensure they perform their duties effectively and efficiently. This includes driving the stakeholders, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and managing the resolution of any issues that may arise during the commissioning process.


  • Resource Allocation:

You are tasked to work with the lead commissioning manager to ensure that the project and project team are sufficiently allocated the correct level of personnel, equipment, and materials to various commissioning activities based on project's needs, priorities. As commissioning manager, you are expected to at minimum to be capable to manage your own time and the execution of the scope provided to you.


  • Quality Assurance:

Support the lead commissioning manager in the implementation a robust quality assurance processes to ensure that all commissioning activities and gateways meet client expectations, contractual obligations, specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements. You track, oversee, and witness the execution of tests, inspections, and verifications to verify the functionality and performance of systems and equipment.


  • Risk Management:

Identify and track the potential risks and challenges that may impact the commissioning process and develop mitigation strategies to address them effectively.


  • Health & Safety Compliance:

Ensure that you always follow Sygna's Health & Safety systems and local project requirements. Ensure that you maintain relevant health and safety records to meet regulatory standards and company policies.


  • Client Communication:

Interact with clients during the project lifecycle, where necessary. You will provide updates to the lead commissioning manager on project progress, planned vs achieved, address any concerns or issues, and ensure that the lead commissioning manager is provided with the commissioning outcomes.


  • Technical Expertise:

Leverage your technical expertise and knowledge of commissioning methodologies and engineering to troubleshoot complex issues, resolve conflicts, and optimise system performance. From design to post-handover, you collaborate with contractors, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to identify and implement solutions that enhance the functionality and efficiency of systems and equipment.


  • Documentation and Reporting:

Track all commissioning activities to ensure that comprehensive documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle. This includes developing test procedures, generating reports, and maintaining compliance records to provide a clear audit trail of the commissioning process.
