Key Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting the management and delivery of the global commercial supply chain logistics for Immunocore. Through strategic planning and co-ordinated management of external commercial distribution centres, customs, and validated shipping, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of commercial supplies to special distributors/hospitals and patients.

  1. Develop, implement, and manage the global commercial supply planning and scheduling process for the Non-EU and EU countries (i.e., Canada, Switzerland, UK, Singapore, Australia, Brazil, Germany, France, Spain, and Nordics countries).
  2. Work with commercial supply chain team, CMC manufacturing and commercial US & EU teams to produce scheduling processes that are robust, efficient, and cost effective.
  3. Work closely with 3PL External Service Providers.
  4. Work with Contract Manufacturing/External Supply Management.
  5. Develop supply options, facilitate decision-making, and communicate updated manufacturing and supply plans to all impacted stakeholders.
  6. Manage the Commercial Shipping Lane Validations project.
  7. Work closely with the artwork design project lead and regulatory team for the artwork design and the third-party service provider.
  8. Facilitate and support the design, implementation, and execution of the artwork and labelling processes to ensure sustained supply, quality, and compliance of final product globally.
  9. Work closely with Finance team to implement inventory management policies for all required materials to support manufacturing.
  10. Develop Key Performance Indicators for the execution of supply chain management.
  11. Collaborate with CMC manufacturing and finance for short, medium, and long-term supply planning “what if” scenario analysis to enable supply chain decision-making.
  12. Collaborate with IT to develop and implement supply chain IT systems and tools strategy that enables supply chain planning, execution, and analysis.
  13. Own and manage supply chain master data.
  14. Review distribution contracts.
  15. Support serialization tasks, including master data, new country setup, and shipments.
  16. Work with commercial and finance to accurately forecast demand and ensure supply planning.
  17. Process inventory movements with high accuracy.
  18. Month end reconciliation of inventory.
  19. Liaise with Regulatory and Quality to ensure compliant supply.
  20. Complete change controls tasks and support quality event investigations.
  21. Create and manage replenishment forecasts, POs, delivery of components, finished pack and bulk products to meet demand.
  22. Support the operational supplier relationship management process, including monthly/quarterly reviews.
  23. Contribute and manage the relevant supply chain information included within regulatory submissions (e.g., BLA, Project Orbis & MAA).
  24. Authorship of end-to-end commercial supply chain compliance documents (i.e., SOP, Work Instruction).
  25. Involved in Wholesale Distribution Activities and must be trained and understand the requirements of Good Distribution Practices as defined in Directive 2001/83/EC and various national legislations.
  26. Must have regular and continual training relevant to the role of Commercial Supply Chain Manager. Training will include specific aspects of product identification and avoidance of falsified medicines entering the supply chain.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONEXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

Essential:

  1. 5-10 years of progressive supply chain management experience in Pharmaceutical/Biological Products.
  2. Breadth of supply chain management experience, including supply planning and procurement.
  3. Experience working with 3PL, Contract Manufacturing/External Supply Management.
  4. Experience with late stage/commercial pharmaceutical/biotech company supply chains preferred.
  5. Experience starting up a new external supply chain organization, tools, and processes.
  6. Strong background working with ERP/MRP/Supply Chain systems and tools.
  7. Management of supply to geographically diverse wholesaler distributor/Special Distributor/Pharmacy to Hospital/Patients.
  8. Excellent supply chain analysis skills (e.g., modelling, “What If” analysis).
  9. Working knowledge of finance and budgeting.
  10. Customs (i.e., North America, EU, Non-EU Countries).
  11. Strong relationship building skills.

Desirable:

  1. Contributed to CMC Module 3 sections of BLAs and INDs.
  2. Project management experience.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:BSc. or MSc. in business, supply chain operations or related discipline.

Desirable:PhD in related discipline.
