Alliance is seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee and enhance our commercial operations by developing strategies that drive profitability and ensure effective cost control via financial management, business development and contract negotiation. You will be based at our Chippenham, Wiltshire, UK Head office 2 days a week on a hybrid full time permanent contract and will be working within the Commercial team.


We are looking for a Commercial Manager who has proven experience in a commercial management role within consumer healthcare, RX, or medical devices You will need strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of market dynamics to foster growth and maintain competitive advantage.


To be a successful Commercial Manager at Alliance we will also be looking for someone who ideally has:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of cost control principles and financial management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
  • Ability to analyse complex data sets and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards common goals.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly.


The key responsibilities of the Commercial Manager:

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Manage budgets and forecasts, ensuring effective cost control measures are in place.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Lead negotiations for contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise product offerings and service delivery.
  • Analyse financial data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on commercial performance and strategic initiatives.
