HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist - Haematology (Band 6 or 7)
Location: Epsom, Surrey
Contract: Temporary - Up to 6 Months
Hours: Monday to Friday
Start: ASAP

Are you an experienced HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist with strong haematology skills? We're supporting a leading NHS laboratory in Epsom who are looking for an experienced BMS to join their team on a temporary basis for up to 6 months. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy, high-performing haematology department while working with a friendly and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex haematology investigations to a high standard
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot haematology analysers
  • Participate in blood film morphology and specialist haematology techniques
  • Work in accordance with ISO15189 standards and departmental SOPs
  • Ensure accurate documentation and quality control procedures
  • Contribute to a safe, efficient, and patient-focused laboratory service

    Requirements
  • HCPC registration - essential
  • Band 6 or Band 7 experience within Haematology
  • Strong routine and specialist haematology knowledge
  • Experience with common haematology analysers (e.g., Sysmex) - desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • NHS laboratory experience preferred
