About the Role

We are proud to be a trusted supplier to multiple pathology services across Kent, consistently receiving locum vacancies for Biomedical Scientists at various NHS hospitals throughout the county. These positions offer an excellent opportunity for experienced BMS professionals to join supportive, well-equipped laboratories and contribute directly to high‑quality patient care.

All assignments are site‑specific, ensuring continuity, stability, and the ability to work as a dedicated member of one laboratory team.

As a Biomedical Scientist, you will play an essential role in delivering accurate, efficient, and timely diagnostic services. Ongoing requirements are available within Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Histology, providing flexibility to match your specialist skill set.

Essential Requirements

  • HCPC Registration – Mandatory for all Biomedical Scientist applicants

  • Minimum 1 year UK laboratory experience – Applications with less experience cannot be considered

  • Proven experience in at least one of the following specialties:

    • Haematology

    • Biochemistry

    • Microbiology

    • Histology

  • IBMS Registration/Competency Portfolio – Beneficial but not essential
