Locum Band 6 Microbiology Biomedical Scientist Roles – Dorset County Hospital
Via Trident Healthcare Solutions

Trident Healthcare Solutions is recruiting three Locum Band 6 Biomedical Scientists to join the Microbiology department at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester. This is an excellent opportunity for any Biomedical Scientist with strong Microbiology experience seeking a consistent Monday–Friday role.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30
Start: ASAP

As a Microbiology Biomedical Scientist, you will support a busy diagnostic service, working across bacteriology, serology, and routine microbiology workflows. The Microbiology team is well-established and offers a collaborative environment where Biomedical Scientists can apply and further develop their specialist skills.

Essential Requirements:

  • HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist

  • Specialist Portfolio or equivalent in Microbiology

  • Experience in general bacteriology bench reading, sub‑culturing, and serology

  • Strong competency with Roche COBAS and Diasorin Liaison XL

    Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of WinPath Enterprise LIMS, ideally within a Microbiology setting
