Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially astuteAccounts Managerto join our dynamic sales team. The Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing and developing key client accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth. This role is crucial in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring successful project delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Understand client needs, objectives, and challenges to offer tailored solutions.
  • Develop account plans and strategies to grow revenue and margin within existing accounts.
  • Identify and pursue up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and project teams to prepare compelling proposals.
  • Proactively identify and develop new accounts within targeted industry sectors.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to meet sales targets and profitability goals.
  • Use CRM software to maintain accurate client and opportunity records.
  • Work closely with the engineering, projects, and commercial teams to ensure successful project execution.


Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in account management or B2B technical sales, preferably in engineering or industrial sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with process engineering, automation, or capital equipment is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as needed.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working with clients in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries.
  • Knowledge of tendering processes and contract negotiation in engineering environments.
