Job Description CK Group are recruiting for a MethodDevelopment Scientist, to join a forensic testing organisation,based in Warrington, on a permanent basis. In this role, you willwork within the Toxicology Research and Development Team, to carryout method development and validation projects, under the guidanceof the R&D Lead Analytical Toxicologist. Your main duties willbe: - Development, validation, and implementation of new methods,in line with ISO17025 (2017) and the Forensic Science Regulator’sCodes of Practice & Conduct. - Drawing up of validationprotocols and the production of validation reports in compliancewith the Quality Management System. - Technical evaluation andrefinement of existing processes and development of more efficientand robust methods. - Support investigations into Quality Controltrends when required. - Advising on and carrying out qualityinvestigations. - Delivering training to Toxicology analytical teamwhen required. Your Background: The ideal candidate for this rolewill have an: - Excellent understanding of drug extractiontechniques, notably LLE and SPE. - A thorough understanding ofimmunoassay and chromatographic techniques (such as ELISA,HS-GC-FID, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS and HPLC-DAD). - TroubleshootingLC-MS/MS instrumentation, both hardware and software. - A thoroughunderstanding of good laboratory practice including ISO17025 andanti-contamination protocols is essential. - Technically minded andthe ability to problem solve effectively. - Familiarity with ABSciex, Thermo and/or Waters equipment It is essential allcandidates who apply have had permanent residency in the UK for atleast 5 years minimum.
