Position: Test Technician
Salary: £30,000 - depending on experience (Negotiable for the right candidate)
Location: Essex
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00am - 16:00 - Early finish Friday

Proactive are currently recruiting for an experienced Test Technician to begin work for a leading manufacturing and engineering company based in Essex. This is a permanent position and an exciting role working for a market leader within the automated machinery and pharmaceutical industry offering ample opportunity for progression and development.

The role will involve undertaking various test protocols as part of the commissioning of production lines and ensuring the equipment functions correctly. You will be required to report the results to the project team for review and action to support the Managers and Engineering Technicians.

Initially this role will focus on performing tests on equipment using company prepared test protocols to support the verification process of the machines. This will provide consistency in the testing approach whilst learning how each machine operates.

Responsibilities within the role:

Execute company generated test protocols.
Completion of all relevant test documentation.
Reporting any and all incidents or failures identified during test period.
Reporting details from executed tests and outcomes.
Reporting feedback and helping to identify improvements to the test processes to improve efficiency.
Liaising with the customers validation teams during Factory Acceptance and on-site testing.
Take responsibility for the maintenance and calibration of company test equipment.Skills required:

A formal engineering qualification is preferred.
Good knowledge of MS Office including MS Word/Excel.
Good knowledge and understanding of automation equipment and machinery.
Previous experience of testing within an engineering / manufacturing company.
