The Opportunity:

Are you a good at Maths with a Science based background and interested in a role where you test and analyse samples? If you have some Lab based experience, then even better (although full training will be given). You will analyse metal samples in this interesting non pharmaceutical laboratory based role in Exeter. Please note that the role operates on a 3-shift rotation, which means you will work a rotation of early, late and night time hours(but all are Monday to Friday).

Job Responsibilities:

• Analysis of metal based samples using a variety of laboratory equipment.
• Preparation of samples for analysis.
• Inputting of results into the company’s database.
• Calculating chemical tests requiring a good levels of maths and ideally an interest in science.

Requirements:

• A science background with good mathematical and computer skills.
• Ability to interpret results and make decisions on chemistry adjustments within the scope of the role.
• Flexibility to work within a small team to provide 24/7 laboratory cover
• Meticulous, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Able to work alone, self-sufficiently, and independently prioritise tasks.
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Pay and Hours:

3 shift pattern (6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6am) - OVERTIME PAID AT 15% of the salaried hourly rate.
