We are looking for a Senior Planner for a leading national Tier 1 MEP contractor who due to growth are adding their team in Leeds.

My client a growing business who are turning over £45m and have a plan in place to hit £80m within the next 5 years. They are a leading provider in Mechanical & Electrical services with an outstanding team, and also with a commitment rooted in over 100 years of experience and excellence.

Projects are varied and high profile, working with clients across a wide variety of sectors including commercial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, education, MoJ, nuclear and Industrial amongst others - values ranging from £10-£100m+ (MEP).

As a Senior Planner you will:

  • Work with the site team and main contractor to ensure the projects have fully integrated programmes sequenced in the correct manner to allow the successful completion of the project

  • Thoroughly study specifications, drawings and relevant contract documents/ correspondence in conjunction with engineers and surveyors to ensure adequacy of the planning and programming of projects

  • Carry out regular reporting on projects to allow the site team to understand the programme position in relation to progress

  • Liaise with the project team to ensure progress reports, progress percentages and drop-down programmes, are produced and issued in accordance with best practices, company procedures and project requirements to allow proper management and commercial protection to be achieved

  • Work with project controls, critical path analysis, program controlling, checking resources and producing KPI dashboards.

    Desirables:

  • Asta or P6 qualifications/ experience
  • Familiar with NEC & JCT forms of contracts

    MEP experience would be an advantage but is not essential, support and training would be given in this area as you would be joining an established team. Either Asta or P6 experience would be of interest.
