The Role
Almac Pharma Services manufacture medicines in tablet, capsule and powder form, and pack commercial drug products into bottles, blisters and sachets and provide specialised packaging solutions for medical kits, vials and syringes. The expert services we provide supports the provision of medicines and treatments to patients around the world.
We’re pleased to offer an opportunity to join our Laxido Operations day shift team on a permanent basis in the role of Senior Operator Grade 2 . In this role you will be responsible for controlling the process operation within your designated production room, ensuring the quality of the product complies with cGMP. On a daily basis you will check material, set up production equipment, complete set-up checks, and operate production equipment in accordance with work instructions and SOPs. You’ll be required to complete production documentation to a high standard, and to verify the reconciliation of materials on completion of an operation. You’ll effectively oversee staff (operators) within your designated operations, and support the Production Supervisor to ensure the efficient and on-schedule completion of each operation.

Competitive salary of £30,686 basic +20% Shift Premium

Key Requirements
All applicants must demonstrate eligibility to work in the UK
GCSEs at Grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent level qualifications) OR previous relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry may be accepted in lieu of qualifications
Previous experience working in a production environment involving production teams, machinery, and quality control of product
Experience working within teams
Experience leading teams/supervisory experience would be a strong advantage
