Your new role





  • An exciting opportunity for aSenior Manufacturing Biotechnologistto join our team.



  • You will work as part of a shift team (shifts will include evening and weekend work), providing support for the manufacture of an autologous, commercially licensed, Nobel prize winning CRISPR-Cas9, gene-edited product.



  • Leading manufacturing projects and improvement initiatives, ensuring delivery to agreed targets and reporting progress to both Manufacturing Management and Senior Leadership teams.



  • Providing high-quality training and act as a SME for processes and / or equipment where required.



  • Point of contact for in-process escalations and contribute to resolving events within the cleanroom environment when necessary.



  • Demonstrate cleanroom excellence in compliance with regulations and GMP principles.



  • Ensure QMS records are raised and completed in a timely manner to a high standard.



  • Act as a delegate for your line manager or others when required.

About you





  • At least 3 years’ cleanroom and sterile manufacturing experience, desirably within the cell and gene therapy sector.



  • Experience with cell therapy banking.



  • Competency in typical Grade B cleanroom roles (e.g. Scribe, Assistant or Operator).



  • Prior experience of setting up cleanrooms, including introduction and qualification of new equipment.



  • Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of routine processing for long term processes.



  • Demonstrating compliant cGMP practices as a SME.



  • Capable of proactively make decisions, either in discussions with Leads or escalating to management.



  • Flexible approach to working hours: The post will involve regular weekend and evening work. 

Qualifications





  • HNC, HND or degree within a Life Science discipline or relevant working experience.
