We are looking for:
 

TheSenior Microsoft 365 Administratorplays a pivotal role in overseeing the administration, management, and optimization of Microsoft 365 services within a dynamic organizational ITIL / ISO environment. This position requires a high level of expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Intune management, to ensure the seamless operation of Microsoft 365 services. The Senior Administrator leads initiatives such as migrations, updates, and optimizations, leveraging advanced skills in PowerShell scripting and best practices. Serving as a key resource for the organization, this role develops and documents processes and procedures, acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for complex escalations and troubleshooting and provides mentorship and guidance to junior team members. The Senior Microsoft 365 Administrator collaborates cross-functionally to align Microsoft 365 initiatives with organizational goals and drive continuous improvement. A mix of remote and onsite support, with some travel required to other UK based locations, when required.

Key roles and responsibilities:

Lead the administration, management, and optimization of Microsoft 365 services, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and best practices. Oversee migrations, updates, and optimizations within the Microsoft 365 environment, leveraging advanced PowerShell scripting and automation techniques. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for complex escalations and troubleshooting, providing expert guidance and resolution to technical challenges. Develop and document processes and procedures related to Microsoft 365 administration, ensuring consistency and efficiency in operations. Perform patch testing and management to all end user devices, ensuring the correct protocols have been followed. Mentor and provide guidance to IT team members, fostering their professional growth and development within the organization. Collaborate cross-functionally to align Microsoft 365 initiatives with organizational goals and priorities, driving continuous improvement and innovation. Stay abreast of emerging trends and developments in Microsoft technologies, proactively identifying opportunities for enhancement and optimization. Actively participate in knowledge sharing and training initiatives, ensuring team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. Monitor and maintain the security and compliance of Microsoft 365 services, implementing necessary controls and measures to mitigate risks. Provide technical expertise and support for Microsoft 365-related projects and initiatives, ensuring successful implementation and delivery.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 8 years of experience working in a Microsoft environment, with a focus on Microsoft 365 administration. Extensive expertise in Microsoft 365 services, including Intune management, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams. Proven experience in leading migrations, updates, and optimizations within the Microsoft 365 environment, utilizing PowerShell scripting and automation techniques. Strong understanding of modern enterprise architectures, identity and authentication services, and security and compliance principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently and collaboratively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a diverse audience. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience mentoring and providing guidance to junior team members. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, or equivalent certifications are preferred.

Pharmaron acquired the Hoddesdon campus, consisting of several purpose-built scientific and administrative buildings together with a purpose-built conference area in February 2017. The research building has more than 5,000m2 of premier R&D space and houses an established Process Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Drug Discovery teams. In addition, a Formulation Development team was also recently established. The Hoddesdon site has state-of-the-art Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standard facilities for the development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), Formulation Development (FD) and Process Chemistry (PC).
