We are looking for talented Biomedical Scientists!

S3 Science is seeking a Senior Biomedical Scientist with expertise in Biochemistry and Haematology to join our client, an independent clinical testing laboratory based in London. The laboratory provides pathology diagnostic services across the healthcare sector and takes pride in delivering rapid and reliable results for both clients and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train junior Biomedical Scientists (BMS) and Medical Laboratory Assistants (MLA)

  • Supervise and mentor junior laboratory staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintaining high laboratory standards

  • Organize and manage the monthly staff rota

  • Maintain an active Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record

  • Participate in Quality Management System (QMS) reviews, including reviewing documents, SOPs, and protocols

  • Ensure laboratory compliance with regulatory standards such as ISO 15189 or UKAS accreditation

  • Liaise with healthcare professionals, clients, and other stakeholders to provide expert advice on test results and diagnostic procedures

    Job Requirements:

  • HCPC registration

  • Experience as a Senior Biomedical Scientist in a Blood Sciences laboratory

  • Strong expertise in Haematology and/or Biochemistry

  • MSc in Biomedical Science, Haematology, or Chemistry
