We are working alongside a leading Pre-Clinical CRO specialising in Neuroscience to hire a Scientist / Senior Scientist for their site in Sandwich, Kent.

The Client:
We are in collaboration with a global preclinical CRO specialising in Neuroscience research.
The roles are based in Sandwich, Kent. Reporting to the Site Director, as part of their expansion they are searching for a scientist, either at the Scientist level or Senior Scientist for their Epilepsy / Neurodegeneration research teams.
This lab-based role (on-site) will be to develop and execute relevant disease in vivo models to generate robust pharmacological and disease-relevant biological data for preclinical research studies for biotech or pharma companies. This position will be working in their Epilepsy/ Neurodegeneration teams.
Working hours: 7am – 3pm, 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm (dependent on candidate’s & lab work needs).
Requirements:
Degree with significant relevant lab-based experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry or a similar PhD in Biology, Pharmacology, Neuroscience, Veterinary sciences or a related discipline.
A higher degree of Masters or PhD is considered advantageous but not essential to the role. Preclinical expertise in rodent disease models with a variety of end points.
3-5 years’ experience managing projects, research activities, and collaborative initiatives in a science delivery environment.
Expertise in the design, development and validation of preclinical studies for compound efficacy profiling and screening; including analysing data and report writing.
