I'm working with a Salford secondary school to find them an interim Science Technician to support the Science teaching team.

The role is expected to continue until July 2025.

This school have a reputation as an employer who support their staff work as a team and share good practice.

This role would suit someone with recent lab experience and the ability to start work immediately.

Important Details:

• £11.50 per hour Paid weekly
• 37.5 hours a week 08:00-16:00 Mon to Fri
• Some flexibility on hours e.g. around the school run

Duties of the Lab Technician

• Setting up equipment for science experiments
• Maintaining stock and ordering supplies
• Ensuring lab safety
• Keeping the school labs running like clockwork

The Science Technician must have/be:

• A background in science.
• Recent experience in a lab setting (degree experience is satisfactory).
• Organisational skills and a methodical approach
• An understanding of health & safety including COSHH
• Enthusiasm for working in a school environment
• Happy to undergo a DBS check in line with Safer Recruitment guidelines.
• Eligible to work in the UK with no restrictions.
