Overview


We are looking for an experienced SAP PMO Consultant to support the governance, delivery assurance, and operational management of our portfolio of clients and active SAP Implementations.

This role combines client-facing PMO leadership with internal responsibilities to support the growth and maturity of our SAP delivery practice.


The successful candidate will bring strong delivery discipline, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative approach, helping ensure both successful client engagements and internal excellence in our PMO framework and knowledge base.


Role and Responsibilities


Client Delivery – PMO Responsibilities


Governance & Quality Assurance

  • Establish and maintain governance structures (e.g., SteerCo’s, Change Boards, Design Authorities, Governance Status)
  • Documentation quality assurance
  • Develop and maintain key program artefacts: program charter, RASIC, RAID logs,
  • Track milestone and quality gate completion aligned to SAP Activate methodology
  • Support internal and client-side assurance reviews, audits, and health checks


Planning & Performance Management

  • Support the development and maintenance of project plans
  • Monitor progress, interdependencies, and critical path items
  • Manage project baselines and slippage mitigation actions
  • Track deliverables across SAP Activate phases (Discover → Realize → Deploy → Run)


Risk, Issue, and Change Management

  • Operate and maintain the RAID log, ensuring regular updates and ownership
  • Facilitate issue escalation and mitigation planning
  • Coordinate change control boards and documentation

Financial & Resource Management

  • Maintain resource and capacity plans
  • Support tracking of actuals vs budget and forecast
  • Coordinate timesheet tracking and validation


Communications & Stakeholder Reporting

  • Prepare executive dashboards, status updates, and highlight reports
  • Support the creation of Steering Committee decks and working group packs



Internal Activities – SAP Practice & PMO Capability



PMO Framework Development

  • Enhance and maintain standard PMO templates, tools, and governance models
  • Define and document reusable PMO playbooks and best practice checklists
  • Support practice-wide adoption of delivery standards across engagements


Knowledge Management

  • Contribute to internal knowledge repositories with real-world project assets
  • Templatise good practice project documentation
  • Support internal learning sessions to upskill delivery team on governance and method updates
  • Capture lessons learned and integrate them into future delivery approaches


Internal Reporting & Operational Support

  • Provide PMO input into internal delivery dashboards and KPIs
  • Review project documentation for consistency and quality assurance
  • Support internal project assurance reviews
  • Support internal resource and capacity planning
  • Ensure internal compliance with company policies (e.g., timesheets, data governance, commercial approvals)


Knowledge Management

  • Contribute to knowledge repositories with delivery templates, case studies, and lessons learned
  • Lead internal retrospectives and knowledge-sharing sessions



Qualifications/Experience


  • 7+ years of experience in a PMO or delivery support role on SAP transformation programs
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP Activate methodology, and hybrid delivery models
  • Excellent command of project governance and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, RAID tools)
  • Able to manage and influence at senior levels (C-level, Program Sponsors, Client PMs)
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
  • Experience working in or with a SAP consultancy or systems integrator is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Cloud ALM is advantageous
  • Certifications in PMP, PRINCE2, or SAP Activate are highly desirable is advantageous
