Mackinnon Bruce are working exclusively with a long-term client who manufacture and provide a wide range of laboratory equipment, consumables and reagents to the Biotech, Pharma, Academia, CRO and CDMO markets.


There is now a unique opportunity to join a strong EMEA commercial team to take responsibility for the sales of the full product portfolio into the CRO, CDMO and Biotech clients in the UK and Ireland.


Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth through developing strong relationships with current client and attracting new client through business development using the full portfolio of products.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by developing a strong portfolio of new clients while maintaining current relationships.
  • Build territory revenue through both direct sales and managing long-term distribution partners.
  • Execute on business development with a good understanding of all regulations to develop a partnership approach based on Quality compliance, profitability, and differentiation.
  • Work cross functionally with customer support, field applications, engineering and supply chain team to provide a first-class service to current and prospective customers
  • Identify market trends and relate relevant information to internal teams to ensure the current products are fit for purpose and propose new product to match the ever changing market requirements


Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years sales experience within a manufacturer or distributor of laboratory equipment, consumables or reagents
  • A scientific and/or technical background (Bachelor, Masters, Engineers, or PhD or preferred)
  • Ideally a knowledge of the Cell and Gene Therapy, Bioprocessing or Molecular Biology markets
  • Proven ability to sell complex and differentiated technology platforms to the biotech markets
  • Ability to effectively sell to a diverse customer base including teams of scientists, engineers, and other highly technical team members.
  • Ability to drive the company strategies and execution at Strategic Accounts at short, mid and long term.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously
  • Financial and business acumen is a plus
  • Ability to analyze and assess market trends and regional trends with ability to report findings.
  • Fluency in English language. Additional languages are a plus but not essential
  • Travel as necessary – Circa 50%.
