We're looking for a dedicatedResearch Engagement Managerto connect our Genomics research (think Enformer, AlphaMissense!) and the wider scientific research community and foster engagement and feedback. In this role, you will collaborate with Research, Product and Partnerships teams to design and execute strategies that amplify awareness, adoption, and understanding of our technologies.


You will act as a bridge between our organization and the external Genomics community. Your focus will be to engage researchers & users, synthesise insights, and communicate the impact of our work to ensure our research delivers tangible benefits to the broader ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement & Development:

  • Design and lead initiatives to strengthen community connections, including event participation and hosting workshops.
  • Contribute to community forumsto foster dialogue and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop community engagement strategyand align with internal teams.
  • Proactively reach out to and maintain ongoing engagementwith external researchers, academic institutions, and nonprofits.


User Support & Feedback:

  • Provide technical supportto researchers using our tools, responding to technical and scientific inquiries and offering guidance.
  • Deliver training sessions/workshops or present technical talksat scientific conferences.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize community feedbackto inform internal teams and enhance user experiences.


Impact Identification & Storytelling:

  • Identify impactful eventsto attend and present at industry and academic events to source compelling use cases and impact stories.
  • Conduct reviews of scientific literatureto identify impactful applications of our technologies.
  • Develop end-to-end case studies:engage with researchers, translate findings into accessible language, and curate assets like quotes and visuals.
  • Work with Marketing, Communications, Public Engagement, and Policy teams to amplify these stories externally.


Educational Content Creation:

  • Extend case studies into educational materials and training resourcesfor broader dissemination (similar to our AF training course).
  • Develop guides and toolsto help researchers maximize the potential of our technologies.


What we're looking for:

  • Expertise in Genomics:Asolid foundation in genomics, with a deep understanding of the research landscape, user needs, and application areas.
  • Exceptional Communication:Provenexperience delivering technical workshops and talks, and the ability todistill complex scientific concepts into clear, accessible narrativesfor diverse audiences. This includes experiencemanaging forums, providing technical user support, and creating learning materials.
  • Collaboration & Relationship Management:Demonstrable ability tocollaborate effectively across various teams(e.g., research, product, partnerships, communications).
  • Project Management Skills:Capable of bothexecuting independently and managing projects end-to-endwith precision.
  • Delivery Focused:Results-driven and action-oriented, with the ability to act with bothpace and accuracy, taking initiative todeliver exceptional outcomes.
