Working Conditions
Hybrid position, with regular visits to Head Office in Congleton
Salary £45,000 - £50,000, depending on experience.
Travel may be required for meetings, audits, or industry events.

Skills & Experience Required
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance or Regulatory role (Ideally 5 years).
Strong knowledge of UK & EU nutritional ingredient and supplement regulations, including Novel Foods.
Nutritional experience and/or qualification (e.g., Food Science, Pharmaceuticals, Nutrition, Chemistry, or related field).
Familiarity with SAP
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage regulatory documentation.
Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Quality & Regulatory Specialist to support the nutritional ingredients and supplements division. The ideal candidate will have experience in UK & EU regulatory frameworks, particularly in Novel Foods and other supplement regulations. A Quality Assurance background and nutritional/pharmaceutical experience/qualification are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all products comply with UK & EU nutritional ingredient and supplement regulations, including Novel Food approvals, labeling, and claims.
Stay updated on changes in legislation and proactively advise the business on regulatory impacts.
Prepare and maintain regulatory documentation, including product dossiers, safety data, and compliance reports.
Work with authorities, industry bodies, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
Quality Assurance & Technical Support:
Maintain quality standards across the supply chain, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
Conduct supplier and raw material evaluations, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Support the development, validation, and implementation of quality processes and audits.
Handle customer quality queries, complaints, and technical documentation requests.
Product & Process Improvement:
Provide technical support to the commercial team regarding product compliance and claims.
Assist with internal audits, risk assessments, and CAPAs (Corrective and Preventative Actions).
Work closely with R&D, supply chain, and regulatory teams to improve product quality and compliance.
