Job Title: Record to Report (R2R) Supervisor

Rate: Competitive in line with skills / experience

Location: Hybrid (Manchester)

My client, a global organisation are currently looking for an experienced finance professional with a passion for process improvement, team leadership, and driving compliance to join on an initial 6 month contract. In the is role you will lead a team of accountants and analysts in delivering accurate financial reporting and ensuring efficient Record to Report processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise daily operations within the R2R team: journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective R2R solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation of R2R processes.
  • Ensure integrity of financial data across systems by coordinating with AP, AR, and FP&A teams.
  • Support and lead testing, validation, and documentation of R2R process enhancements.
  • Maintain and monitor internal controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits through timely documentation and resolution of queries.
  • Stay up-to-date on financial reporting standards and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to strategic projects through planning, timeline management, and resource allocation.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Record to Report or financial accounting roles.
  • University degree in Business, Finance, or related field (in progress accepted).
  • Accounting qualifications preferred (CPA, CIMA – in progress acceptable).
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong expertise in SAP R2R processes and SAP implementations.
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, month-end close, and internal controls.
  • Prior experience with GBSO finance workstreams and process optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and coordinate audit activities.
  • Solid understanding of budget processes and reporting requirements.
