Quality Control Inspector - 6 Month Maternity Cover
West Yorkshire (Full-time, onsite)
Hours: Mon-Thurs 07:00-16:00 | Fri 07:00-13:00
Pay: £14.42 per hour
Contract: 6-month temporary position

We are looking for a detail-driven Quality Control Inspector to ensure manufactured products meet internal standards and customer specifications before dispatch. Our clients' products are used in a wide range of industries including Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Biopharmaceutical, Defence, Energy, Marine & General Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
• Inspect components using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, verniers, shadow graph, thread gauges/wires, plug gauges, surface tester, CMM, etc.).
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders.
• Identify and manage non-conforming products, raising NCRs and ensuring containment.
• Maintain material traceability.
• Inspect subcontracted/coated parts for quality and damage.
• Provide clear quality feedback to production teams.
• Support audits and maintain 6S and H&S standards.

The Person
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Experience working in a quality related role.
• Knowledge of engineering/manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read technical/engineering drawings and bill of materials.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Basic IT skills (Excel, Word).
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
