Our client, based in the Midlands, is looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician whose role will involve sampling products and conducting, recording and reporting precise laboratory tests. The technician will also contribute to equipment maintenance, stock control, complaint investigations, and adherence to safety protocols, while actively fostering a culture of quality assurance throughout the site.

Responsibilities:

• Collecting samples from various stages of the bottling process and to accurately use the laboratory suite of equipment to measure the products.
• Record and report rest results promptly, highlighting any deviations from standards.
• Collaborate with the Lab Manager to maintain equipment calibration and meet quality targets.
• Ensuring that all relevant sample result logs are kept up to date.
• Demonstrating your knowledge, enthusiasm and hospitality to visitors, customers and auditors etc.
• Assist in managing lab stock inventory and replenishing consumables as needed.
• Support complaint investigations, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
• To follow standard operating procedures and safe working practice to ensure the safety of self and colleagues.
• To calculate recipes and any adjustments required (i.e. water and sugar)
• Working on becoming a cross-functional QC Lab team member (chemistry, microbiology, sensory).
• Cleaning and decontamination of the Laboratory before a shift handover
• Be part of projects and support team members across the site
• Verify critical control points such as temperature control, and ensure corrective actions are followed if deviations should occur.
• Communicate lab results effectively to relevant departments, fostering collaboration and problem-solving
• Drive the culture of quality throughout the site, leading by example and promoting continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Ideally experience in Food & Beverage Industry
• Would suit a newly qualified graduate
