Job Description Summary:
As a Project Technician (MET), this position requires a good working knowledge of several key areas of metrology including DC/Low Frequency, RF/Microwave, Time and Frequency. As a Project Technician for the Calibration area, you will need experience calibrating, troubleshooting, aligning and repairing the following types of Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment:

Duties/Responsibilities
RF Analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, counters, GPS receivers/simulators, and other types of test equipment and standards.

With limited or no supervision carefully, document work consistent with Draper's policies, procedures, and standards in written form or using common computer-based software.

Applies test experience in the execution of acceptance procedures independently or in collaboration with senior technical personnel.

Program computer controlled automated and semi-automated equipment withing the tool's software.

Training will be provided to teach the routines needed to program the equipment.

As needed, mentor, train or collaborate as a team with more junior technicians.

Ability to remain flexible with performing other temporary assignments within the scheduled workday and site location at the discretion of the supervisor.

Skills/Abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Applications; MS Windows, Word, Excel etc. (preferred)

Ability to document findings and observations so they're easily understood and are auditable.

Possess an eye for detail. Someone who can notice discrepancies in hardware, detecting defects and drawing discrepancies.

Experience/Education
2 Year Technical Degree + 10 Years experience

4 Year Degree + 10 Years experience

Relevant Technical Certificate(s) + 10 Years experience

15+ Years experience

Ongoing professional development and training is available
